in the renewable energy industry. We operate in Europe and the Americas
and have an installed capacity of some
4,500 MW, with a range of
major development projects for the coming years.
We believe in clean energy. We understand that renewable sources
of energy are an important means of promoting the competitiveness of the economy,
security of energy supply and protection of the environment.
Together with the Group’s Engineering and Innovation Division, we are committed
to developing innovative renewable energy projects, in the belief that
research is a fundamental means of ensuring that renewable energy continues to grow
in line with European objectives, domestic requirements and the need for more sustainable
growth.
Our objectives:
- to leverage renewable energy and develop Enel’s presence
in this industry at the international level;
- to confirm our leadership in Italy in the solar, hydroelectric
and geothermal markets and to become leaders in the wind power segment;
- to operate internationally with the critical mass necessary
to pursue the many opportunities in countries around the world;
- to focus on technological excellence in order to set the
standard in a number of specific technologies.
