Larderello Geothermics Museum
The Museum
A present of energy and culture to be projected into an increasingly renewable future.
"The veins pour forth smoking waters because of the vapors the earth has in her belly, who draws them up from the abyss".
Dante Alighieri, The Rhymes, Book VI, 1296
The esteemed poet used these words to depict geothermal lands in the warm heart of Tuscany. Today, the history of Earth’s energy is in the Larderello Geothermics Museum in the municipal territory of Pomarance (Pisa) near Enel Green Power’s offices. It’s an interactive museum with lots of technological and multimedia content, designed to help visitors understand the myriad technical-industrial applications and the evolution of this natural resource.
