Sustainable manufacturing with Kohler and Enel Green Power
One of America’s most iconic manufacturing companies is leading the way to a sustainable future. Kohler, a global leader in kitchen and bath products, power systems and hospitality, is working towards an ambitious goal of net zero greenhouse gas emissions across operations by 2035.
Harnessing the power of the wind
At Kohler, the company’s sustainability strategy is centered on leaving the world a better place than they found it. Fundamental to this is their commitment to reach net zero in greenhouse gas emissions across operations by 2035.
Progress on the goal made significant strides in 2018 with the partnership between Kohler and Enel Green Power at the Diamond Vista Wind Farm in Kansas. With this partnership, Kohler is purchasing 100 MW of wind power per year from the project for 15 years.
In the U.S. and Canada, this purchase enables Kohler to meet 100% of its electricity needs with sustainable energy and globally, the project reduces Kohler’s greenhouse gas emissions footprint by 26%.
