Fueling the OREO-maker with clean energy
In June 2019, Mondelēz International entered a 12 year virtual power purchase agreement (VPPA) with Enel Green Power to purchase a 65 MW portion of solar energy each year from the Roadrunner solar farm in Texas. This partnership will play a key role in the company’s Snacking Made Right ESG agenda and enable Mondelēz International to make substantial progress against its sustainability goals by reducing 80,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions. It is Mondelēz International's largest renewable energy partnership at a global level and their first renewable energy VPPA in the U.S. Mondelēz International is a member of the Standard and Poor’s 500, Nasdaq 100 and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.
