Boone Stephens Solar Project
Community Update: Enel Green Power continues to be committed to the Boone Stephens Solar Project and to adding new clean energy and investment to the Boone County and City of Columbia area. The project is still in active development as Enel evaluates options for power offtake, including potential future opportunities with the City of Columbia. Additional details and project updates will be available as plans move forward.
About the project
Enel Green Power is developing a 64 MW solar project that will provide sustainable, affordable energy, benefit the local economy and support America’s energy independence.
There are several key ways the Boone Stephens Solar Project will generate benefits for Boone County:
- Our team will work with community partners to invest in opportunities to create shared value, such as supporting first responders and STEM education
- This project will create jobs in Boone County during and after construction to maintain the facility
- Boone Stephens Solar Project will generate zero polluting emissions, protecting local habitats and promoting clean air and water
- Solar does not require fuel transportation, uses very little water and does not pollute local water sources
Throughout every project, our team collaborates one-on-one with landowners and local officials to create projects that generate value for the entire community.
