Mountrail Wind Project, USA

Jay Regnier is the Sr. Director of Development leading the North Central and Canada Development teams here at Enel Green Power. 

Jay is responsible for all aspects of wind, solar and battery storage and project management including land acquisition, title curative, design and engineering, environmental and permitting, and community development. He currently leads a team of Development Managers, implementing commercial strategy for over 2 GW of projects throughout the central and northern Midwest US and Canada regions.

Prior to Enel Green Power, Jay came from a development and owner operator of renewable projects in the mid-west USA.  Jay has worked in the energy industry for over 25 years spending the most recent 19+ years in the renewable sector in various positions including: developing renewable energy projects across the US and Canada, leading development teams and wind resource assessment groups, directing the asset management and balance of plant maintenance programs for a major turbine manufacture and overseeing the operations and maintenance of wind facilities.  

Jay graduated from the University of Alberta, Canada where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and also holds a Third Class Power Engineering Certificate from the Alberta Boiler Safety Association. Jay currently lives on the Mississippi river in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  Outside of work you can find Jay tinkering on old cars, playing ice hockey or travelling to unique destinations and trekking.
