David
David Capparelli (SDM) has been involved in the energy industry since 1990, with experiences in project development, business development, power plant design, power plant construction, sales, and marketing. He is a veteran to renewables, experiencing and playing a part in its growth since its infancy. Since the start of his career, he has contributed to the construction and transaction of over 5,000 MWs renewable energy and gas-fired electrical generation projects and sales representing $2.5B in wind turbines.
Prior to Enel, David was a principal at Dakota Power Partners and Adger Solar, where he focused on the commercial, technical and project management aspects of the ventures. Prior to his work at Adger Solar, he was VP of Sales, Business Development & Marketing of Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation’s North American operations and President of SURE Power, LLC (Suzlon’s North American development company). His earlier positions include Development Director at RES North America, Project Manager at FPLE Energy, Manager of European Projects at Kamine International, and Project Engineer at Ansaldo North America. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, is a licensed Professional Engineer, and can be often be found in the mountains around Park City and elsewhere.
