Community impact

A sustainable strategy for grass management.

The practice refers to the optimization of operating costs and production efficiency, and the reduction of the negative environmental impact. This is thanks to weed management at the solar farm through the use of the sheep.

The PV plant was built in an area where weed growth is a continuous process that has to be managed by the O&M team.

The main advantages of weed management are: reducing the damage to PV panels, reducing operating costs and avoiding production losses. Furthermore, dirt pollution, both in the case of the panels and other equipment, is reduced to a minimum. This is because the mechanical cutting of the weeds, which creates dust, is no longer necessary.
