Portoscuso Wind Farm
Portoscuso is located on the southwest coast of Sardinia in Sulcis-Iglesiente-Guspinese – an area that is a designated Site of National Interest to be reclaimed and decontaminated – and is Enel Green Power's largest wind farm in Italy. The facility, which was built in a record time of just 9 months, consists of 39 wind turbines, has a capacity of nearly 90 MW and meets the energy needs of 76,000 households.

Impact on the community
Among the various initiatives to enhance the designated Site of National Interest in which Portoscuso is located, Enel Green Power has created the “Porta del Parco”, an energy-independent architectural structure whose purpose is to highlight the area's landscape and its environmental and cultural assets, as well as provide a cycling and pedestrian path.
Sardinia's green future
By providing renewable energy, the Portoscuso wind farm is contributing to the decarbonization of the island. The abundance of natural resources in the area – specifically wind, sun and water – makes it the perfect ally in the pursuit of a completely green Sardinia by 2030, in line with the Enel Group’s strategy.
