Carlo Franco Emanuele Pignoloni is Head of Italy for Enel Green Power & Thermal Generation, the Enel business line that focuses on power generation from conventional and renewable sources. He is also in charge of Enel Green Power Italia and Enel Produzione SpA.
He joined Enel in 1990, working in the Engineering and Construction Department as a Quality Engineer, and in 1996 he was appointed Proposal Manager for the construction of power plants in the Middle East and South America.
In 2000 he took on the role of Business Customer Unit Manager at Enel.si, where he became Technical Director in 2004. In 2005 he moved to Enel's International Division as Senior Project Manager for renewable assets in Brazil and Romania.
He joined Enel Green Power in 2008, initially as General Manager in Romania, and subsequently as Head of Business Development for Italy and Europe, becoming Head of Europe and North Africa in 2015. At this time, he was also President of several subsidiaries, both in Italy and abroad. In 2017 he was appointed Head of Renewable Italy and a member of the Board of Directors at Enel Produzione.
From 2019 to 2023 , he was Country Manager for Romania, where he was in charge of all of Enel's activities.
He was born in Milan, and has a degree in mechanical engineering from the Milan Politecnico (Polytechnic) University.
