Luca Solfaroli Camillocci is Head of Business Development for Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation, the Enel business line that focuses on power generation from conventional and renewable sources.
After gaining experience in other companies in the industrial and energy sector, he joined the Enel Group in 1998 in the Generation and Energy Management Division, where he remained until 2008, first as Head of Management Control, and then, from 2002, as Head of the Planning and Control Function.
In 2008 he became Head of the Strategic Development and Improvement Business Area of the Generation and Energy Management Division and Market Italy. Here he had the task of ensuring the Strategic Planning of the Division and managing its main extraordinary operations and strategic operational improvement projects.
From 2010 to 2017, he was Head of Customer Service in the Italian Market Division, and was in charge of the operational management and customer care in Enel's free and protected markets in Italy. During this period he was also a board member at Enel Energia, Enel Servizio Elettrico and Smart Paper.
In June 2017, he was appointed Head of Thermal Generation Italy and Managing Director of Enel Produzione SpA, with responsibility for managing all of Enel's thermoelectric generation assets in Italy.
From October 2019 to November 2023, he served as Head of Italy for Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation. While doing so, he integrated under his responsibility the management of Enel's entire generation fleet in Italy for both thermoelectric and renewable plants. He also took up the position of Managing Director of Enel Green Power Italy.
From December 2023 to June 2024 he was Head of Retail Italy, coordinating the commercial strategy for all types of products and services offered to Enel's customers in Italy, both in the free and protected markets, and managing the entire customer service process. During this period he was the Sole Director of Enel Energia.
Since June 2024, he has been in his current role of Head of Business Development for Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation. He has the task of defining Enel's global generation evolution and development strategy and implementing the initiatives that have been identified for all the countries that are of interest to Enel.
Luca Solfaroli Camillocci was born in La Spezia and graduated with honors in Chemical Engineering at the University of Pisa in 1995. In 1997 he obtained a Master's degree in the Management and Economics of Energy and the Environment (MEDEA) from the Enrico Mattei School.
