Marcello Coffaro is Head of People and Organization for Enel Global Power Generation, Enel’s business line dealing with energy generation from conventional and renewable sources.
After a brief experience as an economic researcher, he joined Enel in 1992 in Palermo as a personnel administration expert. He then moved to Rome in 1999 as expert in labor costs at the holding HR structure. Starting in 1999, he gradually increased his level of responsibility, becoming Head of HR Planning, Labor Costs and Compensation for the Enel Group in 2007. In 2009, he became first the personnel manager of northwest and then southern Italy in the I&N structure. In 2014 he became Head of Planning and Development of Personnel for Italy. In 2016, he had his first experience abroad: he became Head of Personnel for Argentina.
In 2018, he returned to Italy to take over the role of Head of People and Organization for Global Thermal Generation, until he assumed the same role for Global Power Generation division since its foundation.
Marcello, born in Palermo in 1966, graduated with honors in Business Economics at the University of Palermo in 1989.
In 2007, he completed an Executive Master in Business Administration at LUISS Business School.
Marcello is married and has a daughter and a little dog. He is passionate about travel, mystery novels and legal dramas on TV as he likes guessing the ending.
