María Galainena de Carlos is Head of the Argentina and Chile area of the Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation Division, the Enel business line that deals with power generation from renewable and conventional sources.
María holds a degree in Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid and has been with the Enel Group for 16 years, during which time she has gained extensive experience. At Enel Green Power, she has held several roles globally, such as Head of the Wind Center of Excellence, Wind Design and Engineering Disciplines. She was also Head of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, from 2019 to 2022.
She was subsequently Head of Engineering and Construction for Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Brazil, Mexico, and Central America, and on September 27, 2024, she took up the position of General Manager at Enel Generación.
Prior to joining the Enel Group, she worked for more than 10 years for energy companies such as Iberdrola, the Cobra Group and Capital Energy.
