Renato Mastroianni is Head of Operation & Maintenance for Enel Green Power and Enel Green Power and Thermal Generation, the Enel business line that deals with power generation from renewable and conventional sources. Under Renato’s leadership, this unit manages and monitors global production, operation and maintenance activities related to wind, solar, storage and hydrogen technologies.
He joined Enel in 2006 as a team leader in purchasing for Enel Distribution, carrying out International Purchasing Coordination. From 2008 to 2013, he was head of Integration, Safety & Operation Support in the International Division, focusing on improving operational performance in the Group’s Eastern European countries. In 2013, he moved to HRO as Head of Organization and Integration of HR systems for the Enel Group, contributing to the Group’s large-scale reorganization in 2014.
From August 2016 to his appointment as Head of Operation & Maintenance in May 2021, he was Head of Procurement.
His career began with a position as Quality Manager at STM s.r.l., a small manufacturing company, working there for two years. He then joined McKinsey, where he worked for several clients in the banking, energy, electronics, aerospace and consumer goods sectors, mainly dealing with process efficiency, purchasing optimization and Design to Cost.
Renato received a degree in Chemical Engineering from Federico II University in Naples in 1998 and later completed an MBA at INSEAD.
